If you want to avoid the long lines of Wai Ying, skip it and go to this restaurant. It's a but pricey compared to Wai Ying but foods are served in large portions. It's great if come in groups of more than 5 pax. Sitting is no problem because there are VIP rooms available and with own CR. Don't forget to order the crispy salt and pepper squid. It's the top tier for me. Also the bokchoy.
I found this restaurant by chance while walking in Chinatown. The owners are Chinese but the waitresses are all Filipinas so no problem about communication in English at all . The food quality was very good and the food was amazingly delicious Follow what the waitress recommends for you. I was surprised by the quantity and how big the dishes were. I highly recommend it when you are in Chinatown.
If u like spicy try their sliced beef in chili oil. Chili chicken is tolerable. Liked the crunchy texture of chili. Fishes are live catch from aquarium. I find the fried rice to be oily.
Delicious and nakakabusog! Ordered for 4 people and we actually have leftovers. I specifically love and recommend the sweet and sour pork. The seasoning is well balanced :)) The staff were also quite nice and the serving time was quick! The place has good table seating and air conditioning. Definitely would recommend to people!
Very good food selection, they have exotic food menu. Service is very fast. The servers and the owners/managers are very nice. One of my favorite food spots in Binondo. Highly recommend!
This restaurant was recommended by my friend, who has tasted it during the Chinese New Year here in Binondo. I would say the food really tasted so good, though the serving of the food is not that fast, but overall, I would rate this "Golden Lantern Chinese Restaurant" a 5 star. They also have like many budget meals so try it out if you come to Binondo Manila. You won't regret for it.
The food was absolutely delicious! All the dishes were personally recommended by the owner, which added a thoughtful touch to the experience. The portion sizes were generous, making it great value for money. The Yang Chow fried rice was perfectly balanced, with a delightful fragrance and just the right texture. The cabbage soup with century egg—something I tried for the first time—was a pleasant surprise. Despite being a long-distance delivery, the cabbage remained fresh and crunchy, while the century egg added a unique and complementary flavor to the broth. The reduced salt level, as per my request, didn’t compromise the taste at all. My personal favorite was the shredded mushroom, chicken, and vegetable dish. It was not only delicious but also felt healthy and satisfying. While I typically avoid fish due to my sensitivity to "fishy" flavors, the lapu-lapu was an exception—it tasted fresh with a firm texture that I enjoyed. None of the dishes were overly salty, which perfectly matched my specific instructions for delivery. Overall, an excellent dining experience!
